My Parents' Anniversary Dinner at Harbour Sixty

A long overdue word of congratulations to my dear parents on their 30th wedding anniversary. To celebrate, Brian and I treated everybody to dinner at Harbour Sixty Steakhouse (60 Harbour St), an old school and very classy restaurant close to the lake. Pictures of our meal are shown below.

The Caesar Salad

Staying true to its old school charm, a sommelier came by our table and helped us pick out a red to go with our dinner.

The Caesar salad was prepared in the kitchen and brought to the table with a cheesecloth-wrapped lemon. It was not prepared tableside, like Jacobs or Hy's. 

Lovely, no-seasoning required steak

Our steaks came next, and my rib-eye was particularly flavourful. As a steakhouse, they definitely knew what they were doing: There was no need to add any salt or glazes; it could stand on its own.

Can't go wrong with a baked Alaska

We ended our meal with a flaming, baked Alaska. It was so good, though so alcoholic.  Hahaha!

Eating at Harbour Sixty was definitely a nice change from Toronto's other, more modern steakhouses. Its classy, men-must-have-smoken-cigars-with-their-steaks-here feel was a stark contrast to cold, theatrics-laden services of late. The delicious food, combined with above-and-beyond and unpretentious service, definitely made our dinner amazing. We will be back! :)
