Birthday Week, Revisited: Dinner at Weslodge, La Carnita, and Rodney's

Weslodge

Noms. Quail.

My birthday was a week longer this year, thanks to birthday dinners with the best family and friends. The second of many birthday dinners was at Weslodge (480 King St W) with the girls. We ordered Western fare and French martinis at the swanky saloon to commemorate D's, Lala's and Steph's birthday in addition to my own. It was a great evening, further enhanced by an even greater time on King for more drinks and dancing. Cheers!

 La Carnita

Tortilla Chips with Guacamole

Tacos, Round1

Tacos, Round 2

Diana and I celebrated our birthdays with Mitch over a long-awaited dinner at La Carnita (501 College St). We ordered tortilla chips, tacos, and margaritas. To date, La Carnita remains unbeaten in my books for the best tacos in the city. El Catrin has got nothin' on you, La Carnita!

Café Crepe

S'mores Crepe at Café Crepe

Our cousin reunions are not complete without paying homage to Café Crepe (246 Queen St W) - Mitch's favourite dessert place. Above is a shot of the cafe's special s'mores pie. It was delicious!

Rodney's Oyster House

Pasta with Scallops

Our annual 1-3-5 birthday shindig took place at Rodney's Oyster House (469 King St W) this year. Apart from the evening being a celebration, it was also an opportunity to catch up with each other over food and drinks. It always seems as if we don't see each other often enough but I am thankful (and lucky) to have 'em! Heart you guys.

SoMA

Mayan Hot Chocolate

We stopped by SoMA (443 King St W) for a quick cup of delicious Mayan hot chocolate before heading home. As always, I ODed on buying chocolate yet again and bought a whackload of chocolate for the fam. Nevertheless, money spent on chocolate is money well-spent.

Until next year...

This post concludes a week's worth of celebrations. Many thanks to everyone for twenty-six years of that crazy thing we call life. I love you all to infinity. <3
