Montreal 2014: Smoked Meat and Macarons (Day 4)

Good things, like trips to Montreal, must come to an end. We have now arrived at day 4 of our weekend getaway to la belle ville. :) Our last meal for the trip was a smoked meat sandwich and a plate of fries from the famous deli Schwartz's (3895 Boulevard Saint-Laurent).

Yum!!!

We got there shortly after 10:30 if I recall correctly and were once again faced with a long line. We almost got take-out next door but heard from a server that the wait was actually a lot shorter than it looked at the time (apparently, the wait was a mere five minutes or so). We consequently risked it and stayed in line. Five minutes later, we were seated and had a fantastic brunch. The sandwiches were delicious-and-a-half. Good stuff.

J'adore Macarons!

We had some free time before we had to meet our apartment host and thus had time to stop by Boutique Point G (1266 Avenue du Mont Royal Est). Point G is a famous macaron house that used to supply macarons to a bakery close to home, which has since closed. Now, the only way to get your hands on these decadent little things is from the source itself. Ah, indulgence is sweet... and not the least bit guilty.

The girls

All in all, it is pretty apparent that we had a blast of a relatively spontaneous weekend. We got to eat a lot, drink a lot, and, really catch up with one another. Our Montreal weekend was a truly memorable (and hilarious) trip - to many more girls' weekends in the future. <3
