Filipino Breakfast at Somethin' Sweet 4U

Tapsilog
Somethin' Sweet 4U is a well-known Filipino take out place and bakery in Mississauga. In fact, the proprietor and head baker Malou actually baked both my sister's and my 18th birthday cakes. Having said that, the Somethin' Sweet 4U group recently opened a new sit-down location on Britannia and Latimer, which now offers my favourite Filipino breakfast of tapsilog (the Filipino version of "steak and eggs") with atchara and other silog variations (e.g., adobisolog, daingsilog, longsilog, and tinapasilog). Presently, it costs $6.50 for a serving of ulam and rice and an extra $0.50 for coffee, tea, or water.

The tapa tastes amazing. However, I recommend against ordering the corned beef silog and the spamsilog because they are not prepared in-house. Moreover, the serving size is also quite small, which is unfortunate because the ulam is actually tasty. Lastly, they need to work on the speed of their service as well but I am sure that that will improve with time. For now, Somethin' Sweet 4U on Britannia and Latimer is a promising new restaurant located a few minutes from home.
